Originating from the Pleiades, these elves have all been blessed by the stars themselves; The 7 Sisters.
Oracles on their home-world Atlantis, these celestial elves ascended from the Pleiades, would be named Starlings.
They would be tasked by Eris to map the cosmos. Each Sister of the Pleiades brings with her a different blessing, but all Starlings were granted the ability to see the lines between constellations. It was the basis of constellations that they made their maps.
As Celestial Mapmakers to start, their role would evolve, along with the discovery of what all their powers could do.
On winged feet they sped through the celestial space leaving cosmic dust and starfyre. The much larger wings on their backs were similar to that of a Starling bird. Black/Darker Colors and speckled like an egg on top, and white as starlight on the underside. Their wings were sprinkled with stardust, and trailed behind in their wake of starfyre, sometimes catching fire again.

Initially cosmic cartographers, their role evolved as they encountered diverse beings.
Starlings bond with the star they are born under, that holds a Celestrix. This bond gives them wings to travel and the ability to make their starfyre into a thread that connects the stars to make Constellations. They can also see the feint lines connecting the stars before becoming constellations! These are then mapped and brought back to Atlantis for archival purposes. Starlings / Fallen Starling / Starfallen / Kindred *Starlings - transform through a sacred bond with the star they are born under and the Celestrix within Roles: Starlings can have several different roles based on their preferred class that they then utilize on different planets, but mostly on Eonid where the society evolves around them now. They can serve as guards, knights, nightgazers, and more and even take these practices into other worlds to use when needed! They can also volunteer to escort a Starcatcher/ Wishmaker on fulfilling their catered wish that they craft when taken to the Constellatte! Some of them will even go to the new Academy to learn new classes and have up to 4 to choose from! Others might make a living off of the fairegrounds and contests on the moon of Minastra! *Fallen Starlings- deriving power from fallen stars, possess similar abilities but are considered "dolls" in that they are dark matter and nebulae on the inside. Roles: Fallen Starlings were created in order to escort Starcatchers on their crafted wish! A Starcatcher is someone who wishes on a Fallen Star, and is transported by the Magic Mists, to the Constellatte! There they are given a menu of worlds and options in order to craft a wish! These wishes usually involve adventure and treasure! After the wish is fulfilled, Starcatchers will often enlist their Fallen Starlings in tournaments and contests, but some will attain another wish and allow their Fallen Starling to evolve into a full on Starling! *Starfallen - Elves born on Eonid OR Disguises Starlings use on other planets/realms. *Kindred - Starling Elves with animal attributes and markings |
MAGIC AND ELEMENTS
Every Starling is awakened with their own base element + Starfyre. Starfyre is the celestial energy they inherit from their Celestrix (Celestial Phoenix within their star). This power "ignites" their base element (usually based on their zodiac sign) to wield like magic and see the imaginary lines that connect constellations by fueling their starsight. It also allows them to transform the magic metal, Mercitite, into their base weapons: A needle and scissors! (The needle is a rapier, and the scissors are large scissors!) These "weapons" allow them to see the imaginary lines that connect stars, and create actual ones, to turn them into constellations. Once completed and designated, a Starling can use their element to display a "picture" around the lines. This picture can be seen by other Starlings and recorded on a map these keep for Eris.
Example:
Example:
A Starling can inherit and work with more than one element, but only up to four! They can even combine elements to make a new one and use that to evolve into a new class!
Ways a Starling can discover and inherit new elements:
- Their personal Constellation / Zodiac
- One or more of the elements ruled over by their pledged Pleiades
- Taking on a different class and sometimes, a new element, that goes with it.
All of these can play a part in identifying a Starlings powers, but are not limited! (Think Sailor Moon meets D&D classes). The only limit is your imagination! :D See below for Elements and Constellations!

How it works:
A Starling can be:
A. A "lost" soul. Someone who dies and is pulled back to their star if the Celestrix is awakened within. This usually occurs based on proximity to another Starling, or Eris.
B. An Oracle. Oracles are an order found within the Pleiades system, located on the main planet of Atlantis. They are trained in the knowledge of the Starlings and upon self-sacrifice, are sent to their star (or constellation) upon death.
C. Any being recruited by Starlings that are established on a Planet. Starlings prefer to stay incognito, as their presence usually sways beings into worshiping them. This then forces the Starling to stay and act as their deity until they are forgotten or replaced. For example, the story of Eonid involves Aurora crashing through one of their moons and immediately becoming the Goddess of the Stars by the people there. This deification forces her to stay, and in doing so, she establishes a "home world" for Starlings, and thus, the ability to recruit living beings into their ranks.
How do these beings become, or turn into a Starling?
When a Starling bonds with their star and Celestrix, they are gifted a gemstone that now holds their Celestrix. The gemstone appears to have a star within it, which mirrors their actual star, but is the Celestrix contained within. This Celestial Phoenix now grants them Celestial wings, Starfyre, and a base element to wield as well as the ability to see the imaginary lines that connect stars.
Starlings can transform in and out of their class uniform, but when not in their base Starling uniform, they will appear as Starfallen Elves. This is how they usually go in disguise if they go to planets that have evolved beings on them. (Note: They don't HAVE to go, but as they spend their time connecting stars, sometimes they like to visit places for fun!) They transform using their starstone which is kept within an item they can wear. Usually it is a necklace, sometimes it's a gauntlet, but it's up to the Starling with how they keep it.
